I got this note from Saffron yesterday, after she walked in the cement left to dry by tilers prepping our kitchen floor. She had ignored the sign on the door. The note was accompanied by $22.
Oh! This made me want to cry! How sweet. Everyone does silly things sometimes, just as we all deal with the consequences of our actions in different ways. You are obviously doing a wonderful job with Saffron. She must be a lovely girl. She thought to write you a note of apology, she is trying to pay for the damage, and her remorse is so very genuine. You must be very proud. Those footprints in the cement must be very irritating, but just think of it as her having made her mark on America!
I think she sounds sincere if not a little harsh on herself..."bad girl." I know you are trying so hard to teach her, and this must be just one more of those times! I hope it all works out. P.S. It is good that she wants to pay for her mistake! Love that part the most!!
So now I have to hear the post story. The fact that she wants to make it right... well, there is some fine parenting at work. I can tell she loves you, too. You are creating far more than beautiful floors over at the Swensen home.
Awwww...how sweet of her. She obviously was very sorry. What a sweet girl she is. When you guys were here visiting us I saw what a sweet and kind heart she had by the way she played with my kids and tried to help me with stuff.

Bless her heart..."the bad girl?" Projects are tough, especially amidst 5 children, hope it turns out the way you want!
